Hanako Basked in Light from Behind

逆光の花子

Butoh-fu

Rodin’s Hanako is sitting basked in light shining from behind her, almost like a flower.

Her fingers pinch the petals made of fine nerves. Her nerves crack a tiny whip on her fingertips. She tucks her feet closer to her body, dragging her long skirt towards her. She experiences the first ecstasy.

She becomes Bernini’s sculpture of Saint Theresia. There is an arrow of light hitting her crotch. She is enraptured. She apprehends the second ecstasy which truly comes.

Explanation
Relief and sexual expectation and anxiety.
